I think it is all about control of woman. Men do not accept equality with their mates and will not accept a female president.
I have liberal male friends who will not and did not vote for a woman. Not only did they not vote for Hillary they did vote for Trump! I don't understand it but that is my two cents.

Black men got the vote in 1870.
50 years later women got the vote in 1920.
