1 Cor 8:15, quoting Ex 16:18.

Curiously, this is not a passage emphasized in every church or congregation. But in those that do emphasize these verses (along with Acts 4:34-35), there is a curious absence of the preaching of the so-called prosperity gospel.

Hell, they still hate him, and he's been off the national stage for some time now, if memory serves.

That IS one of the acid tests of a great country, though, and right at the top of the list. It's easy to make rich people richer, but let's let them do that themselves. They need NO help from the government...which is us, after all.

they have NO idea where the quote came from (unless they'd guess some 'Commie' or 'Libtard!')?

...all they hear in their head is "blah, blah, blah...blah, blah...". I don't think they'd understand it. It would be like hearing a foreign language they don't speak.
