I suspect that The Honorable Representative Gohmert is confused when trying to comprehend actual science and his own "understanding" of how the universe works. I think that he was referring to NASA's briefing on the Milankovich orbital cycles and their effect on climate (https://climate.nasa.gov/news/2948/milankovitch-orbital-cycles-and-their-role-in-earths-climate/).

I fear that he represents a district that is at least as dumb as he is. How many others in the Republican Party are like this?
