...will get exactly what they deserve: insanity, stomach pains, rage, more rage, even more rage, and no worthwhile information whatsoever.
The debate itself is three hours and forty-five minutes away. Watch the useless pre-game/post-game crap if you want, but when you post "AAARGH I CAN'T BELIEVE DIPPY McDERPELBLARG ON ABCBMSNBABCBS SAID THAT," know that I, at least, am laughing at you for your foolishness.
Don't give them the ability to pollute your mind, especially on a night like this.
Go do something else.

(6,099 posts)I can't stand the pre or post debate shit, whether it be good or bad.
I trust my friends on DU to give it the true spin

(26,045 posts)I don't see it as any haven for cool rationality.
If you need to watch commentary, I suggest Current TV, which is going to feature Al Gore, Eliot Spitzer, and Jennifer Granholm -- a trio I'd much prefer to Tweety and Ed.

(15,586 posts)I for one, being Detroit born and raised, have my priorities in order for tonight. I already know who I'm voting for so watching these things seems pointless to me.......

(384 posts)We will find out Mitt Romney won or it was a tie on Fox News
Or we will find out Obama won on MSNBC, or it was a tie.
And 99.9% of us who read this post will vote for Obama
So who wants to go to bed with me now?

(9,397 posts)president obama has been pulling this shit off for four years and he's going to do it again. doesn't mean the shit isn't going to be tight, but it's doable.

(53,056 posts)I wasn't distraught over Obama's debate performance, though I do find the change in the polls a bit worrying. The media says whatever they want, but we don't need to take it so seriously. I watch a bit and then turn it off. I don't let it get to me.

(73,594 posts)I would agree that a good many DUers should engage in other activities.
I've had it on for background music as I get set up for the crowd coming over tonight. It should be an entertaining time.
If the pre- and post-debate coverage was as upsetting to me as it is for some here, I could not serve as the designated driver for the event. I'd be slamming the drinks down, and posting crazy shit here!
Enjoy the debate, Will.

(117 posts)Just like the last 2. My wife and I make dinner, have some wine, and watch clutter/spin free via PBS.

or does this only apply to tv peeps and you get to do whatever you like and hope we forget what you like to do?
