(Republicans) On second thought, maybe we would like to have a Commission look at January 6th.

With the Oversight Committee requesting testimony from General Michael Flynn's brother, amongst others, and Schumer and Durbin requesting testimony from former AGs Sessions and Barr, this may be more heat than the Republicans are willing to withstand?

They may decide that a Commission might relieve some of the pressure from these hearings and take the focus off their corruption?

Otherwise, they can put on their best armor, because these hearings are going to come at them hot and heavy.

They'll raise $$$$$$$$$$ with that as their argument.

That's why they did not want anything resembling an impartial or bipartisan investigation.
