Interesting is not how I would characterize it, though I understand what she is saying. More people look at a flaming wreck than at something typical, like say a train running on time.

It is really sad that humans are wired to turn their attention to spectacle. Life is not spectacle. It is about stability, security, and some excitement (positive excitement) thrown in occasionally.

Living through 5 years of Trump was completely exhausting. The constant scandal and outrage was not good for ANYONE's mental health.

To even frame it this way in jest (most charitable interpretation) is pretty stupid.
