We finally got our tax refund today.

2020 Federal. I mailed it in on March 3. It took more than 14 weeks to be deposited into our bank account. It included the second stimulus payment. I got the third on April 13.

I guess that I'll e-file from now on. It would have been a lot faster.

1. I e-filed for the first time this year. I have wanted to do so in the past,

but there was always some reason that I couldn't, such as ineligibility to file for free, or an unsupported form.

It went through easy-peasy.

I had no idea if my return was even received until earlier this week. I've been sweating it out for 14 weeks!

BTW, one odd thing was that the refund was $4.37 more than I had on the 1040S. Interest on being late?

days. Illinois took until last week to send my refund. Since I moved in 2020, he thought I'd changed banks and declined electronic deposit.

6. If you e-file you give up your tax privacy. Waiting a few weeks is no big deal
