Only one of these leaders represents a country where healthcare isn’t a human right or where seeking a higher education can leave you with a lifetime of crushing debt.

These are policy choices — not a natural state of humanity.

We must do better.

and if the Republican Party's goal wasn't gridlock and 100% obstruction of anything Democrats do to help the American people in order to run on how government doesn't work, things would be different. Not a Both Sides thing. One side.

Why?

Where else among developed countries is the risk of getting randomly shot real (small, but real), where else can a terminal disease take away not only your own future but your family’s, where trying to become a better educated citizen will plunge you into a lifetime of debt?

It’s honestly embarrassing. We COULD so easily be the best country to live in on earth, but our politicians have higher priorities.

Since the 70s the US has been lowering taxes on the rich...look what happened. The greedy, hypoctitical 1% have driven us to new lows as a country. I chose not to have kids and this is one of the main reasons.
