"Sequel? Prequel? Class in Session at Coconut Grove Elementary," 1972.

IT DOES not appear that these kids are going to run out of things to talk about, or share, any time soon.
Nothing is ever completely simple. While there were very genuine reservations about, and resistance to, mandated integration from voices and perspectives 'Black,' 'White,' and 'Other,' it seems difficult to deny that these children are receiving an education not possible when they were kept separated by the weight of history, and masonry walls.
The real and lasting treasure they will gain in the experience will not be found in the pages of books, or even on the curriculum.

Thank you.

These children are from where I lived in 1972. They must be in their late 50s by now.
