Are Democrats on offense or defense?

What is the Republicans' game?

What is Trump's game?

They are working in tandem.

The Arizona "audit" is a fraudulent activity looking for fraud. It keeps the con-artist Trump up front in the minds of Republican voters. He encourages other state officials to visit Arizona to vouch for their efficiency and professionalism. Because that will make people believe that Trump is still the rightful President and makes it seem credible if they do another "audit" in another state.

It is a game of continuing delay to keep Trump as the leader of the Republican Party, as well as keep him from being indicted, as the criminal he has proven himself to be. It is a masterful game of deception they are playing on their supporters and the American people.

They have been successful in causing the Democrats to re-act, rather than to act. It is a credible point to say that Democrats have been on the defensive, in my opinion.

What should Democrats do to put the Republicans on the defensive?

First of all, they should take the advice of Senator Mitch McConnell. It was he that said there was no need for a Commission, there was no need to convict him in his Senate trial. Because there were other avenues, legal and civil, to hold Mr Trump accountable. That is what he said.

Democrats should take Mitch's advice and investigate them until every American has been exposed to their criminal shenanigans. Take no mercy. Call them before numerous Committees to testify under oath. Once that process is completed, file charges against the criminals that have betrayed their oaths and their country. Put the pressure on them. Put them on the defensive. Occupy their minds.

Do not skirt around the issue that no man is above the law. Follow the advice of Mitch McConnell and use other options. Call them all to testify. This is no country for old men.

I've never been an avid chess player, but some years ago I started playing on a chess app. I lost the first few games and then realized why... I was playing defensive. So one day I decided to get on the offensive from the first move, and voila, I started winning.

I think it's time the Democrats stop playing nice. This is war. This is a war on our nation and our way of life.

It's more effective to bring the unexpected: dropping a bulldozer on the gunman, for example.

Biden is a worthy human, dignified and good. Traits that get Democrats next-to-nowhere politically. Republican voters worship a traitorous congenital liar and their entire party, save a few, are in thrall to him. Who is the crazy party? Who are the conspiracy-mongering freaks? Which party is the major threat to democracy and stability? If you’re not doing something to drive that message home every day you are losing.

I'm not old enough to remember LBJ.

I'd love to see them do it, but I don't know if they're even capable. God help us all if they can't.

Punishment doesn't deter other such criminals. They always think they're smarter than everyone else and above the law.

Many Republicans went to jail for Watergate crimes, Nixon was hated, the party deeply unpopular. A Democrat lasted only one term before Republicans were all the rage, greed was good, business and law schools were booming, CEOs and Wall Street executives with their trophy wives and penthouses were the hot celebrities. Eventually spending a little time in jail became no big deal. Americans don't really care. That's my opinion.

Hillary Clinton went on the offensive in 2016, was accused of being too negative, only running as a woman, was only "I'm not Trump, vote for me." Democrats have been on the offensive since. At least now the media sometimes mentions that Republicans are being obstructionist and refuse any bipartisanship.

on nov 22 1963.

the bipartisan achievements of lbj's administration: medicare, civil tights, voting rights were accomplished despite a large portion of elected democrat's being opposed. those achievements were overshadowed by the war, and of course, such bipartisanship would be impossible today.
