Caesar Trump uber alles is their guiding principle! Everyone else is of minimal importance. This includes Christ and all decent people everywhere who refuse to worship the odious, gold plated pile of rank offal with the delusional fervor they do.

How are we ever going to get rid of this giant right-wing propaganda apparatus and restore sanity?

You know, we all have one...my wife's older sister is the 'crazy' sister. Her ex husband G is a right wing nut-job to the max. Somehow I'm on his email list. The last one was titled guns and spoons. Essentially, the story was about a guy who put his shotgun and some shells on his front porch and just left them there all day.

At the end of the day he notes the gun did not load itself or kill anyone, and now, he says, he is going to go and check his spoons, because they kill people who use them to overeat.

I mean, this is what these people hear, hour after hour, day after day, week after week. You spend a decade listening to this shit on right-wing hate-talk radio, and watching on Fox and Friends, and you are going to end up just like G. This is what is so very sad to me - that otherwise intelligent people can become so twisted around lies and conspiracy theories.

Sigh.

Driving them back under the rocks is a start, but there's lots of them to crowd under those rocks - we also need to figure out a way - maybe a new Fairness Doctrine, strict net neutrality, anti-trust lawsuits against the corporate media and a re-localization of news services.

You know, there's one guy on here who posts about how these AM hate-talk stations also air college sports and how we ought to do something about that. Not sure what, though. I have very, very little interest in sports, but it is like a religion in so many areas of the country, and with so many people.

Posters make excellent points and there is a world of nonsense to unravel and not a lot of time...but sometimes, you just need to hit the Reset button and simply bask in the moment.
