I really have my doubts Putin was telling the truth, about poisoning, and cyber attacks.

(7,715 posts)Somehow, I don't think President Biden went to Geneva without anything preceding it.
I didn't watch Putin's press conference (heard it on the radio), but I did watch video of Rachel Scott's questions. Also, I saw the pre-summit photo op with President Biden and Putin et al. Putin looked EXTREMELY uncomfortable in both events, and he was far more submissive in his post-summit comments than I would have thought.
Putting all that together makes me think Putin has already been given a taste of what could happen if he doesn't behave. Remember also that the entire US intelligence community despises Putin, so he has some mighty forces against him.
Let's see, but I think the conditions seem positive for a less anti-US Putin. He'll probably be given face-saving ways out of some of the problems he has created, so we likely won't know everything.
