All the Republicans did was reduce the penalty tax rate to zero. The law does seem to be doing OK without the penalty.

Didn't work out quite how they figured.

I think Roberts will let Obamacare fall over his dead body. I'd be curious to see what the behind-the-scenes was like.

Had her as a professor at Notre Dame and got to know her. This person said she's not the worst Trump could have done, she's not going to be far right on most issues and she's a serious mind for the law and open to more liberal interpretations of case history.

My biggest issue with her is her integrity though, she knew writing an op-ed, however disingenuous about Trump, would get her fast tracked for the Supreme Court. She did just that, sold out her beliefs and got rewarded. On Roe v Wade though I expect her to vote against it, but I think Kanavaugh and/or Gorsuch will surprise on that issue.

I wonder if the nature of his confirmation has something to do with it. Like he knows everyone's watching him like a hawk. A kid too afraid to reach into the cookie jar, because he knows mom's watching.

But, being on the Court does things to people. Hell, Souter was a Bush appointee.

Anyone on the Court got their out of a lot of ambition. Not sure the op-ed thing bothers me too much. The Roe thing worries me a hell of a lot more. I can't honestly say I know too much about her.

But it's now got a lot of case law backing it up, it's here to day and Biden has strengthened it, he put several fixes into the American Rescue Plan.

There have been a few references to this ruling virtually closing off future challenges, and one comment about how the Roberts Court clearly doesn’t want to weigh in on this.

he is on the wrong side of everything. Surprised Thomas did not go along with him.
But why did Gorsuch dissent?

It doesn’t harm you if these people use Obamacare:

The justices noted that there is no harm to opponents from the provisions that they are challenging because Congress has reduced the penalty for failing to buy health insurance to zero.

Of course, they are still corporatists who want to uphold the rights of big business to exploit people and damage the environment.

The FR people had surprisingly little to say about the decision. I guess the battle is over. We won.
