WASHINGTON — Democrats are eyeing a $6 trillion infrastructure investment plan that goes far beyond roads and bridges to include core party priorities, from lowering the Medicare eligibility age to 60 and adding dental, vision and hearing benefits to incorporating a long-running effort to provide legal status for certain immigrants, including “Dreamers."

Years ago I visited a county nursing home with a friend whose elders were residents.

None of the residents had dentures - all toothless.

It made me so sad, I cried when we left & I've never forgotten those poor people.

So to see that dental is on the table...

This is only a recovery of what has been stolen from the middle, working and laboring and retired people of this nation,

beginning with Nixon's theft of the War on Poverty funds back in 1969 then the,
wage suppression that began in 1976 with EITC, the
1980s attack on Social Security/Medicare,
the offshoring of U.S. manufacturing,
the cutting of funds for State colleges and Universities, that created the privatized but gov.

We went from when houses were built for the working and laboring classes to now where they can't even afford to pay the rent.
