I'm so sorry for this dip stick, Ronnie Jackass. I didn't vote for him and neither did the other 50k Democrats in this district. The 150k GQP assholes are to blame. But this district is gerrymandered really good. It stretches from the Panhandle all the way to Wichita Falls.

1. Are there any districts

in our state that aren't gerrymandered all to hell? My district TX-02 is f'ing ridiculous. I'm represented by that macho eyepatch goofball.

2. It's not gerrymandered

The map for TX 13th has been virtually the same for decades. The majority are just really really conservative. They didn't even vote for LBJ, twice! That's why, historically, the DNC spends zero money there. The Cook Partizan Voting Index lists TX 13th as the second most Republican district in the country, tied with KY 5th.

That doesn't mean give up. You have a lot of power as his constituent. Make sure he doesn't do something crazy like sell the water rights to the Ogallala or allow nuclear waste-dumping there.

Stay strong. It's hard as hell being a Democrat in West Texas.
