A Mackinaw City hotel manager was fired after a video went viral of him yelling and cursing at a guest.

Benny Lucchese, the former manager of Crown Choice Inn & Suites, berated the woman who traveled with her friend and their five children to Mackinaw City over spring break.

Jennifer Biela said her son realized the bathroom of their hotel room was flooding around 11 pm on their first night.

She went downstairs to ask the manager for help when Lucchese responded to her, “You rented the room. It’s your bathroom now.”

1. Seems to me the owner of the Hotel would be super worried about water damage.

He didn't even want to go and inspect the room?

Did he rent out the room already knowing the toilet had a problem?

He sure acts like he is not worried or surprised.

Also, doesn't the manager realize that at 11am the next morning the room becomes his again? Perhaps he will be off duty at that time, and hates the manager who is on duty then?

I just read her review on yelp:

"Please do not stay here.
I traveled over spring break with my friend and 5 kids total. We reserved two rooms for two nights. The first night after we had just gone to bed, the toilet started overflowing and the bathroom was flooding. The room phone didn't have a front desk option so I ran down to the front desk at the adjacent hotel. The crown choice front desk wasn't staffed. The man behind the counter asked me if turned the shut off valve off. I said no I'm coming to you for help. I didn't want to do it wrong or wade through flooding water. He proceeded to get irate with me. He called the police and said he was charging me with malicious destruction of property. He verbally harassed me (which I have videos publicly posted on Facebook). He said we needed to pack our bags and leave, so at midnight two moms and five kids were left with nowhere else to go that is not owned by this same family. We tried Holiday Inn express but they were full - but the front desk employee desperately tried to accommodate us. We ended up driving south to Gaylord for the night.
The hotel itself is filthy and in disrepair. We wouldn't allow our kids to walk in the room without shoes on.
Please do your research before staying/dining/shopping in Mackinaw City."

The photos from other reviewers show that the place is absolutely disgusting. There are also some not-so-bad reviews, which just goes to show the different standards people have.

The Lieghio family maintains these attacks on their businesses is an attack on their Italian heritage and not about their customer service.

10. According to the video he's not fired, just suspended. Anyway, it sounds like the family

that owns it is the real problem.
