Trump administration lawyers connected to his most controversial policies are struggling to find new jobs, report says

Lauren Drake, a partner at search firm Macrae, told Bloomberg that the lawyers who seem to be finding it more difficult to find jobs are those who are either connected to Trump's most controversial policies or are lacking experience.
Ken Cuccinelli, who served as Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, agreed that those coming out of the Trump administration are facing more "discrimination."
"I don't think anyone coming out of the George W. Bush administration was told, 'We can't hire this person,'" Cuccinelli said, according to Bloomberg. "I'm sure Jan. 6 made it that much worse than it ever would have been."
Cuccinelli also said he had a recent job opportunity slip through his fingers because they "just decided they didn't want Trump people," according to Bloomberg.
"It was just flat out - you can call it Trump discrimination," he said.

Earlier we'd heard that Trump administrative aides were going unwanted.
Bill Barr hasn't found a job, either. Claims he's writing a book, but who wants to read a book by Bill Barr?

(5,437 posts)Trump lawyers did a gamble, ride along on the Trump train and hope it never stops.
Anyone with some smarts would have seen that as a choice with poor long term viability.
And who would hire a lawyer who has no finely tuned sense of self preservation, of balancing the pros and cons?
So not hiring them sounds good to me. Smart, even.
Far from discrimination.
Summing up all those words above. . . WOMP WOMP!
Now, a heartfelt plea.
Could people please stop posting stuff that includes pictures of the former guy? I'm trying to forget him.
At least blank the countenance, if you would be so kind.
I'm sure others feel that way too.

I would think there is only one individual(one) who might like to read a book written by Bill Barr; however, that individual(one) is illiterate.

(4,907 posts)If I had a choice between a lawyer who worked for TFG or a lawyer named Jimmy McGill who graduated from the University of America Samoa law school (does not exist) and who is doing business as Saul Goodman, I'd go with Mr. McGill. At least there, you know what you're getting yourself into.

(4,175 posts)According to a list compiled by Bloomberg Law, more than 80% of the lawyers who worked under the former president have managed to nab a job somewhere, even if their roles are only part-time or not their first choice.
However, some of them - including former Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and former Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer - still appear to be without a job months after Trump has left office.
It might be doing work for outfits like the one started by Stephen Miller, which is a kind of "make your own work" harrassment via the law.
He recently came to the aid of "Blessed Cajuns."

I saw a book at the library a couple days ago about the right's long term plan to take over the judicial system. It was an old book. I should have gotten it to see how close to their plan they've come.
