Effed up as is is, there is a not insignificant segment of the right (particularly the Religious Right) that sees poverty as a moral failing and God’s judgment. So, making poor people’s lives worse is not just ok, it’s the moral stance. Spoiler Warning: none of that is what the Gospels say Jesus actually said. 🤷🏻‍♀️

“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.”

“I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.”

“For as you have done unto to the least of these, you have done unto me.”

Guess he never got that far reading the Gospels. I’m sure if he had, he surely wouldn’t have forgotten it. Would he? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Or maybe he did read it but decided it didn’t really apply to him. Yeah. That’s gotta be it for a good Christian guy like him.

It doesn't apply to the people who actually claim to be godly.

He calls himself a Christian.

I hear there's a special place in hell for people like that. Not saying it's true but it's what people are saying.

Those FI's were saved by taxpayer money, not his work.
It does not require a genius in risk management to tell a bank not to invest in junk bond equivalent instruments.
It's obvious that the Radford piece was written by him or his wife.

Republicans have a great tradition of fighting for equal rights and making those freedoms a priority even when it isn’t easy. We are the party of Abraham Lincoln. There would be no Civil Rights Act of 1964 if not for Republicans.

the idea that such a law promotes freedom is absurd on its face.
