and they need to eliminate it in order to advance their agenda.

If they have permanent one party rule, then they won't need to have another party able to interfere with their agenda.

… voter suppression laws and a process to undo inconvenient election results when the suppression is not enough. And then their Supreme Court will uphold those laws. It’s not complicated to see where they’re going.

If there is a non-reconciliation/non-judge bill McConnell wants passed, he certainly won't let anything stand in his way. However, whether or not he gets rid of it would also depend on who is President. He would be most likely to do it under another Republican President (if he lives/stays in the Senate for another one). If the Democrats end the filibuster, he would of course never reinstate it but not sure what they would do with that. I actually support Al Franken/Norm Ornstein's idea of requiring 41 votes to enable/continue a filibuster. The Republicans are so lazy that they wouldn't be able to last more than a day or two (and they know it). The idea that Senators can just refuse to allow cloture and require the MAJORITY to find 60 votes to end a filibuster blockade is an outright perversion of democracy.

confirm judges and pass spending/tax cuts.

The filibuster's job is to prevent democrats from making people's lives better so it's working just great for them.
