De Santis' needs to be sued for his latest overreach into public universities.
First, if you want a parochial education, you can do it. Just enroll in a parochial, private school and pay their tuition. Because of heavy Republican lobbying, you can even get public money to pay tuition, in some cases.
But now, they want to take it a step further and remake public education in their own image. That's what this new requirement is all about, forcing students and teachers to define their beliefs. And I see all kinds of wrong with that. Republicans already have their schools of indoctrination available to them, if that's what they want for their children. But public universities are paid by tax-payers and have to answer to a larger segment of the population.
I see a real backfiring, as students learn which teachers are MAGAs, and refuse to take classes from them.
