He is such a fucking outrage... there is literally no shame, at all.
One of the astute and accurate responses:

(12,429 posts)Omitted words and pronouns allow for more casual speech (think of how often one omits the word "that" ) but omission is unclear without proper context so here is what he was actually saying:
"With (American) generals like this, it's no wonder we (the Confederacy/Third Reich/whatever) have fought considerably more wars than we've won."
Don't fall into the trap of believing that Gaetz considers himself on the same side as the generals.

(10,192 posts)"Woke" is a benign term that generally refers to "awareness of issues that concern social and racial justice." Gaetz and the imbeciles he represents are feeling pretty threatened by things like Wokeness and Critical Race Theory, so they've been busy enacting laws to bring back the era of social and racial injustice.
Milley should have pointed out the military has been at the forefront of social change since Truman issued Executive Order 9981 in 1948, abolishing discrimination "on the basis of race, color, religion or national origin" in the United States Armed Forces, re-integrating of the military during the early 1950s and, more recently, changing its policies in areas of gender and sexual identification.

But, I'm sure you meant, "the imbeciles that voted for him".

(10,192 posts)I react the same way when others attack "Floriduh," lumping in the millions of progressives here in my state with the ignorant yahoos who voted for scum like DeSantis, Rubio and Scott. I was represented by Ted Yoho (now the gun-toting Kat Cammack), a guy who made Gaetz seem "woke" in comparison.

(18,635 posts)Maybe it's all the above, but I don't know what the general was responding to because all those are currently being addressed by the military. What did Gaetz say to set him off?
