A disciplinary body says he made "demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump."

Rudy’s license was suspended solely based on complaint with no hearing. This is not normal. There is so much evidence that Rudy will have a hard time reversing this order. This will be fun to watch

I read elsewhere that disbarment requires hearings, a suspension is applied to prevent the practice of law while a disbarment process takes place.
The way I interpreted it, was that they're pretty sure he's being disbarred so they suspend the license so he can do no more professional damage until he's officially a "non-lawyer".
