It was an inside job by antifa or maybe the fbi. They bombed the building.

Politicizing this tragedy is not healthy or good for our side. Congress passing or not passing an infrastructure bill has nothing to do with this and neither does the FL. Governor.

It looks worse in those photos. Can't see all of on the television machine. All the best vibes being sent to victims and rescuers

I wonder if it was caused by that state's lack of safety regulations? I guessing Florida is a lot like tex-ASS.

Last night it look like a wall pulled away and fell down, but looking at before and after shots, over 50% of the building is now flat.

They're to the north on the same side of Collins Avenue and look very similar, so I doubt those residents are very comfortable in their homes either. I'll bet we'll see property values plunge and banks getting stuck with mortgages as owners and tenants run for their lives.

I am not seeing as much rebar or steel mesh in the concrete floors as I would expect. I am not seeing much in the way of vertical support. The inspectors need their financial records examined with a fine tooth comb. Concrete doesn't crumble like that if it is properly reinforced.

The cables are under a ton of tension, which increases the strength of the concrete.

If a cable fails, the strength of the structure is significantly reduced.

connection between the building that collapsed and the one that's still standing. If the floors were pre stressed concrete slabs shouldn't they be connected by #5 or better rebar with the floors being staggered by half?

the shear wall on picture 1 shows what I'm asking.

Thanx.

If the floors were poured in place it seems there should have been even more rebar.
