Altman has hired a Canon lawyer to fight the request for removal which is his right under canon law. The issue will ultimately probably go to the Pope in Rome before he's forced from his seat. He's being very public about raising money, $600,000 so far.

I self identify as an Irish Catholic Democrat from Boston. It is in my DNA, it is what I am. I believe the greatest political speech was delivered by Jesus Christ, the Sermon on the Mount. There are a lot of people who rip religion and catholic religion on this board, I have called the occasional Priest or two a kid toucher, and am much more fond of our current Pope than I was of the last who I referred to as Gods Rottweiler, but still think of myself as an Irish Catholic Democrat kid from Boston. Others are comfortable in their religion or non and that's good for you. Priests like this fucktard make it so difficult to self identify as Catholic. Parochial (home parish church) elementary school, Archdiocese High School, a Catholic College, I don't lock step agree with anyone in my life, not the party, not my family not my church.
