She’ll get bushwhacked by the racist right wing, of course. But the fact she said her piece and was listened to -- even to a smattering of applause! -- is gratifying. What it portents is impossible to say, so I’ll just bask in the light she shined on the problem of racism and ignorance and say “it was good, what she said and how clearly she made the case."

depression and the doctor she consulted asked her what it was in her past that gave her
the depression. And that only by confronting that past could she get better---and then compared
that to the realities of systemic racism that must be confronted. (sorta)
