This Building Collapse Feels A Lot Like The Fire In The Apartment Building In England

There were 72 deaths in that 2017 incident. I suspect this catastrophe will be comparable, give or take 20 or so deaths, based upon reports of # still missing.

Think of the top 5 reasons for this and none will be "good".

1) Sea level rise disturbed the foundation.
2) Over pumping of the aquifer caused a collapse of the underlying foundation.
3) Permitting for the foundation was flawed
4) Inspection of the foundation was flawed
5) Follow up inspections ignored what was going on.
