After tonight's MAGAt rally, all I can say is thank Christ he still doesn't have Twitter access.

SAME old SHIT...the only difference being that he has broken "presidential protocol" to attack Biden (no surprise here)...

Can't believe the MAGAts are still eagerly standing in lines to soak up his bullshit.

Part of me thinks I need to "understand" this...and on some levels I do (Trump identified and manipulated white anger), but no matter how I can process it on an intellectual, cut and dried, black and white level, I still can't believe these people are still basking the the warm orange glow of their bloated messiah.

That's all, nothing else profound to say. I saw some clips and read some summaries and my head's exploding.

Face facts, "PattonWasRight," you don't remember her name, either. All you know is that you're supposed to be mad that she got shot for trying to violently overthrown the government. I wonder why all those brave toughguys boosted her through the window first instead of being on point themselves?

After all, she did get killed carrying out HIS wishes. Anyone with a shred of human decency would express gratitude for her "sacrifice" or maybe feel remorse or offer condolences to her family.

Of course, WE know he doesn't have a single atom of human decency in that entire bloated orange body, but MAGAts are a little slower on the uptake.

Most people are planting flowers or putting in a tomato or two.

Not these people. Their idea of a fulfilling Saturday is to listen to a bloated has-been born-with-a-silver-spoon-in-his-mouth complain for the 48,439 time that he’s been cheated.

he WILL be the 2024 nominee.

Same thing will happen again, a couple dozen jackasses will run for the nomination, spreading out the vote for the Rs who don't necessarily want him, helping him to win the nomination. They will then rally around him because democrats are baby eating, dog beating fascist, communist, socialists, then country will find a way to make the general election a coin flip again because whatever bullshit the Rs gin up to create some innane "scandal."

These "supporters" have nothing, nobody else. Without Trump, there is no entertainment, no promise of improvement of their dull and bleak lives.

These are the same sheeple that Sinclair Lewis wrote about. The same who followed Billy Sunday, the evangelist in the Twenties.

They aren't Trump supporters per se, but a peculiar American demographic.

Every one of these people I know has made a life of bad decisions, some knowing success because of luck or privilege (is that redundant?), but failing to become the heroes of their own lives, eschewing choices that are risky, especially emotionally so. It's like someone who overslept and failed to get to the station before the train left, missing that next great opportunity, and forever cringes at the sound of the train whistle. But they have their fear and their anger, and those are the only ways to get their blood flowing, to feel for a moment that they are truly alive.

I went to a family reunion in West Virginia yesterday. I was dreading the Trump signage on the drive in, the Trump shirts, the casual mentions of how great the orange one is. That’s what the reunion was a couple of years ago. This year, not a peep. We all had a great time.

Most of the country is over Trump. The more he's in the news, or is able to talk, the worse he looks. To everyone. And Repubs in Congress can safely ignore him right now. If he was out there in their faces every day, they'd be talking about Trump non-stop.

And instead of listening to how Kamala hasn't gone to the border, or other stupid stuff that affects us, they'd have to defend themselves against Trump.
