**! Outside air temp is 78 degrees at 5 am!

Yesterdays forecast was it would be 68 degrees right now.

No wonder the house only cooled off to 79 degrees!

Box fans are all on, but not much to work with here.

This is Tacoma.

Tomorrow will be hotter yet.

She bought a portable room air conditioner for about $300 that can be moved from room to room.
She says it works well and she is one who is difficult to please.

Notice I said she is my ex.

But I love it. But of course I live in the Florida Keys so I expect warm summer days. Different for you folks up there.

My daughter is the manager of Cooters in Clearwater. She is finally coming off of a horrendously busy season.
Can’t get there for a bit but give her a hug from me!

Bedrooms being upstairs the air at 78 doesn't work nearly as well as downstairs and was a miserable sleep and got me up early. I am thinking tonight throwing cushions on floor downstairs. My poor hairy dog was panting most the night. One more day then drop to low 900's high 80's. When would I every feel relief with those numbers.

I hate the heat, I hate summer.

So many people do not have air conditioning

10 mph wind. I think it pulls some heat off the side of the house before the heat transfers to the inside. 92 outside but still only 81 inside.

About 60 days straight of low temps that never drop below 78, often with over 90% humidity. It hasn't been under 82 for over 72 hours. However, the vast majority of us have massive central AC units and ceiling fans in every room. I run mine at 78, which is comfortable because the AC also lowers the humidity inside.

Please stay safe and drink lots of water. Pedialyte is even better. It has less sugar and a lot more electrolytes than sports drink. Those temps are deadly, especially if you are not acclimated to the heat and have no AC. Sit in front of a fan and put a wet washcloth around your neck in the heat of the day. Several days of excessive heat put a real strain on your body. It's the third or fourth consecutive day of extreme heat when we start hearing about hospitalizations and deaths here.

Until around mid july..early august. By then everything will be totally

heat soaked ...the lakes, the trees, the earth...Go to bed with temps

in the 90s and wake up with temps in the 80s...That is if it ever

quits raining here and the sun starts to show up....
