...i even have reported some of the same issues. They have lawyers who go after these churches and sue them..

I am uncertain whether the OP wonders that s/he wasn't arrested for standing up in the congregation and shouting, "Nevertrump" or if the OP was telling his/er congregation to be welcoming or at least accepting.

Churches cannot endorse or oppose political candidates. Beyond that, they can opine about anyone.
