She replied that President Biden called her early in the morning after the collapse and told her he would provide whatever she needed, and early that afternoon the head of FEMA showed up and asked what can we do and what do you need?

As someone who spent much of his career chasing — or being chased by — this hurricane, that flood, or the other tornado — I know whereof I speak.
There was a reason why President Obama appointed Craig Fugate as FEMA director. Craig saw Florida through some pretty tough times, effectively and efficiently. THIS is the kind of leadership Florida needs right now.
As opposed to Ronnie DeathSentence, who obviously doesn’t give a tinker’s “damn” about state-level support. Or, who lives? And who dies?
