(2,852 posts)I realize we're in the post-grammar age of twitter, but still...
This tweet makes a pretty remarkable assertion about George Clooney's activities.
Probably--at least I'm hoping so--this is a documentary by George Clooney about the Ohio State wrestling team scandal.
I'd be almost certain it's not about "where Jordan hushed up the abuse by George Clooney."

(58,352 posts)It sucks understanding language.
It also makes it impossible to decipher what most rightwing conservatives are trying to say.
In this nutty world that might draw a fan club, alas. Thank goodness we understand what it really is all about I hope the mistake didnt cloud the situation for anybody.

(30,613 posts)The idiot who wrote that Twit post apparently didn't proofread it. Clooney did not commit any abuse; he produced the documentary.

(145,554 posts)This will be a good documentary https://www.huffpost.com/entry/jim-jordan-george-clooney-ohio-state-sex-abuse_n_603490d9c5b67c32962018c5
The series will be based on a Sports Illustrated article by writer Jon Wertheim last year addressing the allegations against the late Ohio State sports doctor Richard Strauss and officials lack of response.
The university said in its annual crime report in 2019 that Strauss committed at least 1,429 sexual assaults and 47 rapes during his 20-year tenure. Strauss was never charged and died by suicide in 2005.
The docuseries cant be welcome news for Jordan, who was the assistant coach of the wrestling team at Ohio State from 1987 to 1995. At least three athletes and a referee have alleged they discussed the abuse directly with Jordan, but that he took no action to stop it. Jordan has denied he was told of any abuse or knew of it.
One of the victims in the Sports Illustrated story alleged Jordan knowingly ignored Strauss abuse.

(1,000 posts)OSU has paid out on two lawsuits involving hundreds of students. Dr. Strauss committed suicide and escaped justice. Just like US Olympics gymnastic coach, John Geddert (after he was charged), associated with Dr.Nasser the pedo Doctor from the University of Michigan. Like you had any doubt about Gym Jordan's character, he tried to get the students he turned his back on to cover for him. There was an attempt to shame the students who first came out into silence.
