(32,787 posts)... that he receives from the Chump Organization in lieu of receiving a higher salary.
So instead of paying him (for example) $1 million per year salary, they pay him $500K plus a free condo that's worth a lot more. But Allen W. only pays taxes on the $500K salary and never reports the "other" income. I'm over-simplifying this, but it's just to make the example. It's more involved and it goes back to when he first became an executive in the organization.
Also there's mutual back-scratching going on because Chump himself is doing the same thing as Allen, and I'm sure the kiddies are doing it too.

Totally inconceivable that they'd let an 'outsider' get such perks without themselves first filling their bags.

(82,849 posts)Probably in the hundreds of millions. Maybe more. And yet he had to chisel the federal government for $95,000 in bogus refunds and the state for another $38,000. Mere peanuts considering his personal wealth, but he had to grab for it. The wealthy don't deserve tax cuts; too much is never enough, and they always want more, to the detriment of the country and its people.

(5,812 posts)IMO, that amount of tax fraud, it will be a life sentence for him. And they are looking at what his family got and they are the next targets.
He needs to take this seriously: He is looking at dying in prison and having his children do prison time. These prosecutors not only have the goods, they are fucking serious.
Hey, Fool, cooperate...this is NOT going away and it's mega serious. tRump is NOT your pal. He will put you, his kiddos, all of this wives and God in jail before anyone gets to him.

(17,647 posts)They may have gotten away with a hell of a lot more.
If I defrauded the IRS out of $1,000.00, I would most likely spend time in club fed. Weisselberg will probably just have to give part of it back and promise not to do it again.

(18,641 posts)It seems like a civil case where he would have to pay back double, 2 million or so, to resolve it.
This happens all the time and is resolved in civil courts with no one doing jail time.
What makes this case different?
(Other than they want to get to Trump so they up the stakes.)
