After his release from prison, Bill Cosby seems to already be eying a return to stand-up comedy.
Cosby's spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, has suggested in multiple interviews he could embark on a comedy tour after his sexual assault conviction was overturned this week, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Wyatt told Fox News that Cosby "wants to get back on stage sooner or later," and he also claims the comedian has been receiving interest from comedy club owners.
A number of promoters have called," Wyatt told Inside Edition. "Comedy club owners have called. People want to see him."
Cosby has faced allegations of sexual assault and rape from dozens of women and was convicted of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. But the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his conviction on Wednesday after finding he couldn't be charged because of an agreement he had with a previous prosecutor. Despite his spokesperson's comments, though, Variety writes that industry insiders believe there "is little chance" of Cosby making a career comeback.

(15,954 posts)Hes allowed to do this because hes had his conviction overturned. If it were me, Id stay in my mansion and keep my head down. Of course I could never do the crime hes alleged to have done.

(10,729 posts)ps one disturbing story was a woman who became semi-awake while he was forcing himself in her mouth. He was saying, " your friend wants to (ejaculate I'm assuming he used slang) again."
This is a real pos here.

(20,006 posts)Being let out on a technicality did not absolve him of his crimes. Just ask his 60 accusers.
Has he tried TFG's "it's all politics" ploy yet to try to minimize his crimes?

(3,868 posts)It most certainly did absolve him of his crimes (legally) and he is not a felon.

(20,006 posts)The real world knows he'll always be a felon guilty of multiple crimes. Just ask his 60 accusers.

(5,502 posts)We've learned that it always has to be about them. It's the money for sure. But it's also the attention. Bill Cosby needs the attention. My guess is the guys in prison gave him plenty. Which is why he probably didn't suffer too much.

(22,149 posts)He sat in a chair on the stage, and was not very funny.
When I was a little kid, my brother brought home one of his comedy albums. It was hysterical.
But yeah--retire and think about your life now, Bill. Be glad you aren't doing it behind bars.

(90,793 posts)No one is going to work with him, a talent agent told the trade. No studio. No A-list actor or filmmaker. It would kill your reputation. Not to mention that youd have to justify it to your friends and family. He is toxic.
