I've never been in the military, but I would guess that being accepted for military service would involve being current on regular and necessary inoculations just as it would be for entering school.

Soldiers are given tons of shots for all kinds of stuff. Especially before being posted overseas. How many will risk bad discharges, reductions in rank and pay? A handful, maybe, the ones who are thinking of AWOL anyway.
