that the US spent billions to put a golf cart on Mars, while people are sleeping on the streets right here on earth.

I guess it’s just me though. Everyone else seems to think it’s thrilling.

Our science spending isn't the problem. It's our over-bloated military spending that's out of whack, IMHO. Trim that back a few hundred billion and spend it on homelessness, education and healthcare...and science.
