He spent damn near 30 years of his life in one of the most Socialist organizations in the US.

The one that gives you free housing, health care, and food while you get free training for your job, and continues to give you them or a subsidy for the same. If you have a spouse and kids you get subsidized housing, food, and medical to cover them as your dependants.

You get a nice pension if you stick with it for a mandatory 20 years, you are on a stable advancement path pay raises pretty much every year, plus automatic "time at job" raises, and for the most part, you don't have to worry about being laid off or terminated for reasons outside your control. You just have to be able to put up with bull-shit and do the job you signed on to do for the alloted time.

Your work clothes are subsidized, and you get unlimited sick time and 30 days personal leave a year.

You also get free college for a career after your stint, as well as all sorts of perks (low cost exchange, commissary, MWR facilities) and benefits that follow you for the rest of your "employment" -and after; in many cases, you don't even need to retire to get perks.

Yeah, Socialism, baby...paid for by every taxpayer.

Suck it Ronnie, you drunk Hypocrite.
You never had a job you "made it on your own" without being supported and subsidized by other people's hard work and taxes.
