for the healthcare workers who are surrounded by such ignorance. Have no sympathy at all for anyone stupid enough to not get vaccinated.

Non-vaccinated, by choice, adults should not be treated. Just send them home.

Only below 18 and those medically unable to receive the vaccine should be admitted.

…that allow pharmacists to refuse to fill prescriptions for birth control pills and Plan B? How do you feel about these new laws in red states that allow medical providers to turn away LGBTQ patients?

What you are suggesting is not “triage,” but something much darker.

And the virus will spread to the hospital staff, non-COVID patients, their families and on and on.

At least I am vaccinated!

"WE have enough ventilators"

Hell you have enough vaccine and you don't bother to administer them. The vaccine costs nothing...the hospital stay? Thousands and they may not make it home.

The vaccine is available now to everyone 12+. When I took my brother to the local state run vaccine site back in May - where they take walk-ins! - I saw several Moms there with kids getting the vax. I know the kids were getting it because they stopped outside for selfies!

And they're all headed for Lake George - home of tee shirts and pizza. *sigh* I drove through the Village earlier this week on my way home and the streets were packed like any "normal" summer, strollers, flip flops, dogs on leashes. The seasonal extremely popular ice cream place was especially crowded, lines in front of every window packed all the way out to the street - and not a mask in sight, they were getting ice cream! BTW, even though nothing was open last summer, Martha's (ice cream place) tried opening, but had to shut down due to a Covid outbreak.

And though my county is at 64% vaccinated, these are not locals packing the streets. I stopped for a light behind cars from Florida, South Carolina and Georgia. And that was just on one trip driving south.

This year will be my final year living in Missouri. I've been here since I was 13- I'm 46. We're getting meaner and dumber by the year.

Once the kid finishes her degree we're both out.

And they're playing with our pensions.

I need to get out for fear that I won't have anything when I finally retire. I'd rather start over than depend on the state to renege on their promises.

I don’t want my fellow Americans to get sick and die. But nearly 100% of the sick and dying right now are Trump voters. If this rages on for the rest of the year you could very well see some elections flip to Dems because of this GOP voter die off.

Crawford is among just 39 percent of Missouri residents who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 despite surging cases that have put a strain on the local health system. The immunization numbers are even lower in Camden and Miller counties, which include the popular tourist destination Lake of the Ozarks, a notorious gathering spot that, after a raucous July 4 weekend, could be in the midst of an even nastier surge.

The Missouri Department of Health on Wednesday issued a COVID-19 hotspot advisory for several counties in the state, including Camden and Miller, which had about 115 Delta variant cases. Officials, however, believe that number will be at least three times higher in the coming weeks since just 32.3 percent of Camden County residents have been fully vaccinated—and only 21.1 percent of people in Miller County have.

“We are already stretched to our limit,” a spokesperson for Lake Regional Health told The Daily Beast, stating its hospital was nearing capacity amid fears from officials the numbers will only skyrocket further.

In Springfield, CoxHealth hospital is being forced to transfer COVID-19 patients to nearby facilities after seeing an overwhelming influx of patients in the last month. Hospital officials are also reporting that COVID-19 patients are younger than in previous pandemic waves, the Lake Regional Health spokesperson added.
