Alaska GOP endorses TFG-backed candidate over incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski in 2022 Senate race

The Alaska Republican Party on Saturday threw its support behind GOP Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka in the 2022 Senate race, bypassing incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

The state party backed Tshibaka over Murkowski in a 58-17 vote, according to The Hill.

Tshibaka, who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump last month, said in a statement that she was "grateful and thrilled to have the strong support of the Alaska Republican Party."

"We all share a unified goal: to promote the principles upon which our country and state were founded," she wrote. "I have pledged that I will be true to our shared, conservative Alaska ideals and be a senator upon whom they can depend to make every decision based on what is best for our great state."

Nothing in the article about her background. Her only qualification seems to be kissing the big orange rump.

If the "native" tribes help Murkowski win over psycho lady, the republicans will enact additional voter suppression laws.

Which is why she will likely win
She'll likely be the 2nd choice of most republikkans who don't vote for her as the first choice (though if the coal party runs someone maybe that will be the 2nd choice of some) and she'll likely be the 2nd choice of many Democrats
She is very popular among Native Alaskans
She'll win

And why does she stay in? She has more in common with Republikkans than Democrats

Didn't they primary her during the last election and she ended up getting re-elected as an indie, then switched back to r?

Hopefully we can swing the seat this time if they end up in a war....

While we had a great democratic candidate, a veteran, the rethug majority didn't vote for him.

But Cawthorn was in a primary runnoff with the GQP endorsed candidate and he won. I wonder how their primary will turn out?.
