1. After over 50 years of pretending that Cuba did not exist

I don't know where we get the authority to either support or attack anything that their people do. We need to normalize our relationship with Cuba and tell the Miami Cubans to get over it.

The US has done enough harm to Cuba - leave Cuba the fuck alone.

10. The ramifications are much greater than just Cuba, they go all the way to South America where

the Cubans, and I mean Fidel Castro, when he was alive, and his cronies, have done a lot of damage.

A good example is Venezuela. Just like Putin was the mentor of the buffoon we had as president, Fidel Castro was the master of Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro. The communism that has taken over Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, etc. was the result of a long campaign by Castro, and at the end he succeeded with Chavez.

It is good to know and remember that Fidel Castro tried, about 60/70 years ago, to invade Venezuela, he failed because at the time the military loved the country, but with Chavez that door opened to him, and he was successful.

Supporting the Cuban people get rid of a regime that has deprived them of their freedom is a good beginning to help countries like Venezuela, and many more that Cuba infiltrated. Like the saying says "You kill the snake by the head" so it is very important to get rid of the cancer that the Cuba regime has been in other parts of the World, it will debilitate Putin as well which is a great consequence of those actions, should they succeed.

That is my view on this, it is something that should have happened a long time ago. The current situation in Venezuela and other South American countries represents a real danger for the future of the USA, these are countries that can serve as a base for attacks to the USA, their geographic location is ideal for it. Right now, in Venezuela, there are Russians, Hezbollah, and other groups who have linked with the Venezuelan military. As a matter of fact, when Chavez was alive he actually nominated Cubans to high posts in the Venezuelan military, and right now they have a stronghold that makes it almost impossible for an opposition to get rid of them.

12. And that little coup attempt in 2002?

Probably strengthened U.S. ties to Venezuela, huh? Once the coup collapsed, the Bush administration tried to run away like they had cracked a rancid fart in a crowded elevator.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2002/apr/21/usa.venezuela

Washington's involvement in the turbulent events that briefly removed left-wing leader Hugo Chavez from power last weekend resurrects fears about US ambitions in the hemisphere.

It also also deepens doubts about policy in the region being made by appointees to the Bush administration, all of whom owe their careers to serving in the dirty wars under President Reagan.

One of them, Elliot Abrams, who gave a nod to the attempted Venezuelan coup, has a conviction for misleading Congress over the infamous Iran-Contra affair.

The Bush administration has tried to distance itself from the coup. It immediately endorsed the new government under businessman Pedro Carmona. But the coup was sent dramatically into reverse after 48 hours.

and does anyone remember who it was that stopped working toward normalization of relations between the U.S. and Cuba.

If I remember correctly tourists were visiting without having to go thru another country until barriers went up.

Who was that guy?

.

It's a shame he doesn't know the difference between Communism and Authoritarian Communism.

It's almost like he doesn't know the difference between US Army and Ukrainian Army posers.

On Memorial Day, Marco Rubio tweeted a shout-out to Vets. Of course they were Ukranians posing as Americans!

There is really no difference. all communism is totalitarian/authoritarian, there is no other flavour of communism. They are as ruthless as dictators, the only difference between them is the name of their politics which are both bullshit, and the fact that communism starts with socialist rhetoric while totalitarians start with populist ideas, which in a way are both the same as well, the difference being how the message is told to their audiences, they are both farce and the end goal is for eternal rule and power over the people they intend to govern, and lets not forget that their personal agenda is to live like kings for the rest of their lives while taking away from the people.

Li'l Marco just has no personality, he will say or lick someone's butt if he thinks it will help him politically to get elected, he is a poor excuse of a human being and politician.

In a way it is sad, because he is not ignorant or stupid, he just has no principles, or dignity.
