Why did the Ruskis choose to leak their memo now?

We know the Russians depend on their Republican cronies to support their ongoing war against truth, decency, democracy, and America. So one has to wonder why they picked this moment in time to "leak" the memo showing how they worked overtime to subvert the 2016 election, thwart the will of legitimate American voters, an install their compromised Republican sleazebag puppet, aka TFG?

What's up with the timing? Did the Republicans signal the Russians that this was somehow the perfect moment to create further divisions in the US of A?

He’s string and was their ultimate anti-Obama before Trump piggybacked into it.

I’m just saying that it will very likely be seen (if they hear about it) as a show of support to Trump from Putin.

Since we know beyond the shadow of a doubt that neither the Russians nor the Republicans have any moral integrity whatsoever. They could well be jerking America's chain once again with a FAKE leak.

Trump has gone too far into looney-tunes world for even them, and this is step #1 to cutting him loose and putting him out to pasture.

Step #2 will likely be leaking some of the kompromat.

According to the article, two Guardian reporters have come into possession of “exclusive documents”—mostly a memo supposedly passed among a who’s who in Russia collection of Kremlin insiders—that spells out in detail how Vladimir Putin ordered Russian intelligence and military resources to go all in on their support for Donald Trump in 2016. For bonus points, the memo makes clear that the reason for doing this is because Russian intelligence felt that there was nothing they could do that would be as destructive to the United States as promoting Trump.

The memo even contains a succinct psychological evaluation of Trump as “impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced individual who suffers from an inferiority complex.”

1) It will change the narrative away from Trump's insurrection, and make it look like the "liberals" have nothing but old material on
Trump.

Keep in mind that Russian Kompromat on Trump means nothing to the average MAGAt. They have never read the Mueller Report and never will. They don't care about Trump's boot- licking behavior in Helsinki. To them the idea that Russia has Kompromat on Trump is a Liberal hoax. This "liberal hoax" idea has been supported by people like Bill Barr.

2) It is a reminder from Putin to Trump that he is still compromised, and to never forget it.

Things are getting bad for Trump legally, both in his business life and with investigations into the insurrection. Trump might actually be able to save himself a lot of trouble if he were to drop out of politics and just go away. Putin has too much invested in his favorite Asset for that to happen.

Just a thought.

"Western intelligence agencies are understood to have been aware of the documents for some months and to have carefully examined them"

So it's not a question of why "the Ruskis" (Putin, or someone working independently) leaked the memo now; they did that some time ago. Someone - either the same Russian, or a western intelligence agency - then did it again, recently.

because he miscalculated badly by installing Dumdum and destabilizing the country that has the most nukes. He failed to destroy NATO and he failed to destroy this country by installing a crazed despot. A destabilized US is a lot more dangerous to Russia than a stable US ever was. Putin outsmarted himself this time. He thought he could control Dumdum, and while we could tell when he snapped the choke chain, he ultimately failed to do so.

So don't make too much of this, it's not about us. It's an unsubtle reminder to Putin that he can be replaced no matter how many times he's gotten laws passed to keep him in power permanently.
