And tho totally silent, there are a lot of anti-tRump repubs.
He was all in for tRump, till he wasn't..he saw a divide & an opportunity.
Liz Cheney as well. They're both still Republicans but may decide to be the 2 that pick up the pieces of their Party after tRump et al, left it in smoldering embers.
Either way, if he can be straight up fair on the investigation then fine.
We know how Cheney feels!
Is there still even a smidgen of integrity, honesty, and honest love for American democracy in the soul of any republican Congress members?
We are about to find out.

(2,114 posts)as I see it, the wider and stronger The Committee the better.

Nothing is going to stop the 'that's partisan' mewling, so it out to just be 'priced in', to descend a moment to market-babble.

per CNN colleague @MZanona, Pelosi making Jan 6 select committee more bipartisan by appointing Adam Kinzinger to join Liz Cheney on panel
the fact that Cheney and Kinzinger embrace reality/tell the truth may make them outcasts within GOP caucus, but they are still Republicans

(10,842 posts)Andy Devine! Did that ever bring back a foggy, childhood memory: Plunk your magic twanger, Froggy!
Words to live by, eh?
Thanks for that, Champp.
As for the Select Committee? Nancy Pelosi is the Boss. She's made McCarthy look like the fool he is. The Committee has Liz Cheney on board so it's already bipartisan. And whew, did Cheney ever roast McCarthy after his performance stunt.
Another Republican on the Committee, a member who stood strong, refused to vote NO on the electoral certification would be fine but unnecessary. The investigation will go forward and the GOP will be on the hot seat bc a number of their members were complicit in the January 6th insurrection.
We know it; they know it.
Madame Speaker will make sure everyone in the world knows it.
The net on these suckers continues to tighten.
