This is directed to the majority of the cable TV talking heads: could you stop already with

the "cutesies"?

Trump does not "live in an alternate universe". He is mentally ill.

He does not "mis-speak" or "have a strained relationship with the truth". He lies---constantly.

There are not two genuine "opinions" about whether the January 6th insurrection was a violent assault on democracy by Trump's supporters. We watched it happen, damn it!

Before you ask Greene or Boebert or Jordan or Gaetz or Gohmert their opinion about ANYTHING, please ask someone who drinks lunch out of a brown bag and sleeps behind a dumpster. If you need to fill more air time, ask him to sing. It will improve your "broadcast quality".

And, PLEASE start calling bullshit by its name.

is a personality disorder, not a mental illness. There are no treatments for personality disorders, it is who and what they are. Trump should not be able to avoid accountability for his crimes by claiming mental illness. He knew that what he was doing was criminal as evidence by the cover ups.

his brain is clearly damaged. it doesnt work any more.
i'm not saying it wasnt damaged 5 yrs ago, but it is clearly worse.

mental illness as a criminal defense is a whole different topic than- wtf is wrong w him, and when is someone going to intervene.
a simple mental illness dx is not a get out of jail free cards, anyway.

work for him.

I have seen interviews where psychiatrists have claimed Trump suffers from malignant narcissism. I worked for a malignant narcissist for 18 years until I could escape. I have studied the disorder and Trump does check all of the boxes. I am not a medical doctor so I don’t claim to be 100% correct in my opinion, but pretty darn sure he has the disorder. Whether he also has mental illness I do not know.

The DSM 5 says they must have 5 of 9 criteria to do this disorder:
1. Lacks empathy;
2. Grandiose sense of self importance - exaggerates achievements and talents…;
3. Preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance…;
4. Has sense of entitlement…;
5. Requires excessive admiration;
6. Believes that he is unique or special and should associate with other special high status people…;
7. Interpersonally exploitative - take advantage of others to achieve his own needs;
8. Shows arrogant or haughty behaviors or attitudes;
9. Often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him.

I read this and have no problem checking off all 9, not just 5.

depraved, amoral, apathetic, pathologically self-absorbed, crude, sadistic...a sexual predator/deviant, without intellect or common sense...but he's not mentally ill..as for the press...because they despised the Clintons, Hillary in particular, they took a known malignant sociopath and "presented" him as a viable candidate who would somehow "grow into the office"...but ultimately it was the networks bottomline and access that drove the 24/7 obsessive "breaking news" burp and fart coverage...and when that orange dung heap turned on them (fake news), the reporters relished the asshole's bully boy insults.....that garnered them tens of thousand of "likes" and followers on Facebook and twitter, thereby turning them into media stars, guaranteeing them a guest spot on Morning Joe and, and again enhancing the network's bottom line...these media mavens know the Toxic Three (Greene, Boebert, Cawthorn) are intellectually vacant imbeciles but, hell, they miss their "guy" and the noise that surrounded him..he was/is a drug and they are still in denial and not ready for the pains of withdrawal ..

The people who suffer the most from that category of illnesses are others, rather than the one with the illness.

It's still a severe malfunction of the brain. But I don't think that excuses the behavior in any way.

MALIGNANT NARCISSISM for which there is no known cure.
Most mental health experts try to avoid these kinds of patients because
they really can't see the problem and thus can't be treated.

TFG is a classic case of this personality disorder. He knows what he is
doing is criminal but there's no one to stop him - yet.

There is zero evidence that Trump suffers from a major mental illness. There is plenty of evidence that he has a severe personality disorder, with all evidence pointing to -- were we looking to charge an insurance company for treatment today -- to Trump inhabiting what is know as "Cluster B" territory. These are the dramatic, emotional, and/or erratic disorders. Most can, with different degrees of success, be treated -- not "cured" -- though they can be treatment resistant.

"Malignant narcissism" was the name that Erich Fromm coined for what in North America has been more commonly known as either psychopathy or sociopathy, depending upon where the person diagnosing believed the person's being ranked on the biology-environmental range. It's a bit like how much yellow and blue are needed to make various shades of green. And it is treatment resistant. Other than a frequent plateau that these people reach at around the age of 60, any provider who claims success in treating these people has most likely been fooled by the sociopath.

The legal standard for not guilty due to insanity -- a term long out of use in mental health treatment -- would generally require that Trump wasn't aware that he was violating the law. Since Trump has always tried to avoid being exposed, or to cover up his many, many crimes, I am confident that I will win the heavyweight boxing championship before Trump could be ruled "insane" by a judge or jury.

anyone else would def be under some kind of treatment or care.

he already was, going back to his coke days at the least. before that he was just twisted. after that he couldnt think straight.
but he is demonstrably worse now, and there are medical records at reed that prove it.

this rly is something we need to get our arms around.

Networks and independent stations used to superimpose the word "commentary" when a newscaster was rendering an opinion.

That line is gone, presumably forever.

I am so repulsed by the cable media. "We want to hear what some cult bimbo or bible-thumping gun hugger has to say about anything?.....even the weather??" Give us a damn break already.

How about you bring us intelligent voices....whether we agree or disagree; but their opinions are based in reality. I am so fook'n tired to hearing from the dumbest of the dumb. I don't even think it is worth trying to remind us of just how fucked up our cult neighbors are. WE KNOW! We are ashamed, but you fook'n idiots keep posting these dimwitted clowns on your programs so we can be a"entertained". ENOUGH ALREADY!
