WASHINGTON -- President Donald Trump's political action committee, the Make America Great Again Action PAC, bought $348,081 worth of advertising on Tuesday in the Republican congressional primary in Ohio's 15th District, where a Trump-backed candidate is facing a crowded GOP field.
The large, last-minute ad purchase, the group's first in the 2022 cycle, was made the same day that another Trump backed House candidate, Susan Wright, lost in a special election in Texas 6th District.
The purchase suggests the Trump team believes it will take more just than the former president's endorsement to put former coal lobbyist Mike Carey over the finish line in the Aug. 3 primary.
The winner of Tuesday's primary will face a Democrat in November to see who will replace former GOP Rep. Steve Stivers, who left Congress earlier this year. The district leans Republican, making the winner of the primary a favorite to win the seat in November.

Hey Donny, maybe you wouldn't need to flush your shitter thirty times if you'd quit flushing money down it.

(6,477 posts)They know if they lose this one, there will be a total rush for the exits.
They'll probably win it, but the flop sweat is at least hilarious.

(14,627 posts)He must really feel the pressure right now. The only thing he cares about is money. And the illusion of winning.

(9,188 posts)He considers that money his. Hes not going to spend it on somebody else unless theres an upside for him if he does, or a downside if he doesnt.
If his candidate is going to win anyway there is no upside. If he loses, thats a big downside: two losses in a row by his endorsed candidate.

(82,849 posts)The Texas fiasco must have really stung His Fraudulency that he's actually resorting to spending money to try to repair his reputation as a badass to his slack-jawed supporters.
