20. So few people in my part of the country wear masks anymore, that

my wearing of a mask inside a store or other large public space won't reduce the risk to other people at all. I'd be almost the only one in a mask walking through a collective Delta cloud from everyone else. A fart in a hurricane, as to effect. It MIGHT keep me from getting it, but I'm reading that an N-95 is probably necessary because of the sheer virus-particle abundance from even asymptomatic/vaccinated people, and I don't happen to have those. Wearing an N-95 in public all the time is ratcheting things up to a level I'm not prepared to do unless we're talking higher death tolls. On a plane or other small enclosed space for hours, though, I would want an N-95.

That said, if the situation does become more dire in terms of increasing deaths and hospitalizations among the vaccinated or among children, I will take care to mask up in public, but I would expect mask mandates to be announced anyway in my area.

but I feel like I've done what I could by getting vaccinated, and I don't go out that much anyway. If things go sideways here there will be a mask mandate and I will comply, probably try to get a box of N-95 from Amazon or something. I don't think my cloth masks are going to cut it anymore.

I will do what I can to protect my loved ones and myself. The anti vaxxers will use whatever excuse they can to not get vaccinated. They could be literally lying on their deathbeds in denial. There is nothing I can do about that. Covid is a dynamic pandemic...changing as we speak. It doesn't mean the science that said we were safe to not mask if we were vaccinated was wrong when it was stated. But things are quickly changing. People who ignore the changes are going to put themselves and others at risk.
