I have a better question for AOC, Bush et all to ask.

Instead of blaming Democrats, she herself a Democrat and should accept that blame...

Where is the money?

The eviction moratorium is about to end, yet federal relief funds largely remain unspent
"Do not evict," one Mississippi official cautioned landlords. "Please wait, the money is coming."

snip

While Burse is seeking assistance locally, Mississippi's separate federally funded $186 million statewide program has faced its own trials. As of July 13, the Mississippi Home Corporation, which oversees paying out the funds, had distributed $10 million — or just about 6 percent of the money.

NBC News contacted all 50 states and the District of Columbia about their emergency rental assistance programs. An analysis of responses from 41 states found that 26 of them had distributed less than 10 percent of their first allocations, although several programs had just begun distributing money in June.

The money is there, you should know this. Please AOC, focus on the facts and not inflammatory rhetoric. Focus on the states that have failed to distribute the funds that this Senate, Congress and WH has given them. You were part of that, you voted for it.

I am begging you to pause the outrage. Work with the Governors and state assemblies to root out the problems and find out why the money is slow in distribution.

Go to the root of the problem instead of TV. The people need your voice. They need that money. Their very lives are at stake.

1. Totally agree. Don't care who/what is responsible for slow distribution, needs correcting now.

I support the protest. I’m more worried about the homeless when it comes to the homeless.

Then she more than ever should be going to the root of the problem instead of sleeping on the capital steps with a huge box of junk food. I get what she is saying, yet this is not getting the near homeless anywhere. Focus on the money and peoples lives.

The distribution of millions of dollars is in the states hands, Go after the states.

9. Kavanaugh's opinion is not a SCOTUS ruling. Biden could extend the moratorium and let the right wing

SCOTUS rule against it. As it is, Biden will take the blame for the evictions, and the Republicans will let him. AOC knows this. Cory Bush knows this, she said so in an interview this morning on Democracy Now.

Millions of families could be evicted in the midst of a new surge in the pandemic.

Maybe we should stand for the people and the good of the country.

That Democrats have full control but don't want to do anything. They're swanning off to fancy vacations. Biden could just do a signing statement and fix it but he won't. See! both sides both sides both sides.

Then there are people pointing out that the money is there, the states are responsible for getting it out. Biden can't just sign something, has to go through Congress. They can't get enough votes to do things because 50-50 in Senate ("But VP Harris is 51 and that's a majority!!!!!!!) and slim majority in the House which wouldn't be a problem if like in a normal country the opposition party voted on normal things like emergency measures in a pandemic and didn't obstruct every single fucking thing, so IT'S REPUBLICANS' FAULT DUH.

12. The Bigger Problem is that the Billions Provided to the States Have Not Been Distributed

We can't extend the moratorium forever and that seems to be the only solution some Dems will accept. If nothing else, we need a date when people have to start paying rent again. I personally know some folks who can afford to start paying their rent again and haven't because they don't have to.

Instead of handing talking points to the other side. She doesn’t need to go through these things to talk to her own leadership. I’m afraid some of them are just trying to burnish their brand. And I do respect their cause, just not always their methods.
