Texas Republican leader dies of COVID-19 five days after anti-vaccination post

A Texas Republican leader who was hospitalized with COVID-19 died Wednesday, just days after he shared a post on social media questioning the effectiveness of the coronavirus vaccine.

The Galveston County Republican Party said that Scott Apley, a member of the State Republican Executive Committee and Dickinson City Council, had died. While the party did not specify the cause of death, a GoFundMe page that had been set up for Apley and his family said he was admitted to a hospital Sunday with “pneumonia-like symptoms and tested positive for COVID.”

Apley, 45, is survived by his wife, Melissa, who according to the fundraising page has also tested positive for the coronavirus but has not been hospitalized, and their infant son.

Apley had previously vocalized his strong opposition to vaccinations and mask mandates, and
responded to a positive tweet about vaccinations “You are an absolute enemy of a free people.”

The county Republican Party said in its Facebook post that Apley’s death was “a tragedy,” and called on supporters to “please pray for Melissa and Reid and their family.”

“God remains in control although this is yet another tough one to swallow,” the organization added.

Sounds like they are starting to have some doubts RE their chosen deity.

Should we remind them that said deity provided, regardless of race or faith, one of the safest and most effectice vaccines we mortals were ever granted.

Goes as follows:

1. He’s fat, no wonder he died of COVID.
2. The surge is a hoax, fake news. The delta variant is more contagious, but is less deadly.
3. How do we know he wasn’t vaccinated and died of the vaccine?
4. The COVID test are wrong 90% of the time, he did not have COVID.
5. Fake news.

This is the insanity of the cult. Can they be deprogrammed?

Good. If these idiots can't see the harm they're bringing by working against vaccines and caring more about party optics then die. Die so we don't have to deal with you working against the rest of us trying to safeguard our fellow humans, so we can get back to a semblance of normal, etc. Maybe with your death, dozens more will be spared getting sick or even suffering the same fate.
