President Donald Trump's criticism on Friday, saying of Trump, "'You're rooting for people to do bad?' Yikes."

Trump bashed the U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT) for being too "woke" to win gold after the soccer team lost to Canada in the semifinals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

"Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has," Trump said in a statement.

These are supposed super patriot types. Their excuse is they are just rooting against people who kneel or are woke. They also say if we are paying, they should behave a certain way.

Canadian soccer player Quinn has just made Olympic history.

The Canadian women's soccer team took home the gold on Friday, beating out Sweden and earning the top spot for the first time in its Olympic history. The winner of the final was determined via penalty kicks, yet another Olympic first for women's soccer. And on the heels of that victory, Quinn, a midfielder for Canada, also accomplished something monumental: They became the first-ever openly transgender and nonbinary athlete not only to win gold but to medal at all in the Olympic Games.

It's the latest history-making move for Quinn, who also was one of the first openly trans athletes to compete in the Olympic Games. (While they helped Canada take home the bronze at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, they did not come out as trans and nonbinary until last year.)

I believe that the US team needs to look to some of the young national caliber women now. Canada was simply younger and faster, even if not as experienced.

11. Soccer always has been like that.

The VAR has been good at resolving most of the problem with bad calls, but with split second events, even VAR review has led to a wrong call. That is part of the game and always has been.

At least none of the American women took their Bronze medal off their neck like the Canadian Hockey player did the Silver after the USA beat Canada for Gold in the last Winter Olympics.

The former guy went all the way to France for the World War I Centenary observance. But when it came time to go to the memorial, he was hiding in his hotel room, unwilling to go out in the November rain. Sad!

That fool could not bother himself to observe a memorial that was 100 years in the making. That will be a stain on our country for decades to come.
