While we wait for some real news, this:
from - DearAuntCrabby:
Melania drew her inspiration for the Jackie Kennedy Rose Garden demolition from her cold dead heart where the souls of her previous Johns go to die
One year ago this month, Melania Trump designed the Rose Garden to look just like her soul.

(1,670 posts)I mean the new one looks pretty sterile, but I'm pretty sure we call those flowers tulips.

(111,352 posts)and the stuff other than the putting green lawn grass was incidental.
The garden did need renovation to improve drainage and remove trees that were overgrown and had about reached the ends of their lifespans in a confined space. However, that concrete walkway did nothing to improve the drainage and I'm sure that it will ge goner, along with the square putting green, within the next decade or so. Someone else will add color to her monchrome mess.

Maybe the side away from the building gets more sun and roses are there.
I'm just hoping, of course, as the picture only shows one side.

(10,158 posts)in the "before" picture, meaning that it was taken in the spring. The "after" picture was IIRC taken in late summer, just before TFG took over our lawn for his praise-fest. While I am not willing to cut Mel some slack, I think we should compare roses to roses and not tulips.
Are there any pictures of what the garden looks like today, after a year of growth?

(25,556 posts)This is a "high performing garden", that was designed by Jackie to be camera ready, There will be spring blooming bulbs to get the show started early. In Texas, roses have limited blooming time...(Don't know how it is up north, but I know winter is not a good time for roses up there) The annuals and perennials assist the roses because even in ideal conditions, roses require deadheading to keep their blooms going.
There is a mix of ornamental trees and shrubs, roses, annuals and perennials to keep the show going.

(19,204 posts)so her stiletto heels didn't sink into actual earth. It's her belief that concrete is much easier on her $5000 designer "hurricane shoes".
Remember when she went to Houston after that hurricane in those damned stiletto heels? Was that the same trip when she unveiled her "I really don't care, do U", raincoat? I can't recall.

(297,692 posts)"Hurricane shoes" I missed that .. i hate that monster.. another one who's her own worst enemy. She & Treasonous Psycho make the perfect Toxic pairing.
I figured she destroyed Jackie's Rose Garden because she's a jealous ***** & wanted to show off her fleeting power as the first ****** in the WH..
Yes, I remembered when she showed what an ass she is by wearing that damn attention mongering ass jacket.

(19,204 posts)resurrection of the beautiful, popular Rose Garden?
Aunt Crabby couldn't have hit the nail on the head more squarely. It does reflect the dead, barren soul of a money whore. She already had her indoor tennis lust-shack, for her and her slicked-back Secret "Service" Agent. Why did she have to destroy the Rose Garden as well?
Shall we take it back?

(406 posts)Most college extension services have Master Gardener programs and volunteers could be solicited to do most of the work under the official White House gardener. I am relatively sure most seed and plant companies would be happy to donate plants. Might even get the Four Seasons people to help.

(45,534 posts)I guess the point is that normal people like colors and Melania prefers monochrome that looks as dead as her heart. At least she didn't end Michelle Obama's White House farmer's market.
