Scott Fairlamb is the "Apex Insurrectionist" and probably represents the MAXIMUM punishment.

He just plead guilty in an agreement with the DoJ.

The prosecution is recommending 41-51 months in prison (minus time served) and the Judge will listen to the argument from the Defense team and pronounce a sentence.

Fairlamb has pretty much EVERYTHING going against him.

1) Trained former MMA fighter. Dangerous by definition of who/what he is.

2) Rap sheet. Convicted of previous Assaults. He's a bad dude, the type you see and cross the street to avoid.

3) History of threats and violent comments on Social Media

4) At the Capitol, took a collapsible baton from an officer and assaulted officers with it.

5) Punched and shoved officers.

6) At the phalanx of the group entering the Capitol.

7) A big Qanon believer.

It's going to depend on the Judge but if this guy gets around 4 years, minus time served... that's probably the biggest sentence we'll see.

I originally predicted the worst of the worst would see 7-10 so I'm a bit surprised.

There just aren't ANY mitigating circumstances for the Defense to argue...

Who did more than Fairlamb?

From what we know... who did more? Evidently you think someone did more.

Let me tell you how I arrived at my guess.

The DoJ has said they've arrested 100 individuals so far who actually assaulted LEO.

We know from the video that these assaults included Punching and Shoving by hand, probably considered the lowest level Assault. Then the ones who used barricades, flag poles, riot shields, helmets, a fire extinguisher, Bear Spray, a collapsible baton...

Fairlamb committed probably the most egregious crimes of the day. He struck officers with a closed fist and used a deadly weapon, the baton that he took from an officer.

He probably has a few dozen buddies that committed similar acts. How many of them are MMA fighters with previous assault convictions and violent social media?

It's just logic. There may be a few who get more prison time. But logic says this guy is at the top.

And do you have any idea who planned and organized the actual assault on the Capitol? Not the rally or march to the Capitol but the assault itself? I haven't seen ONE media entity report even a theory about that.

DoJ announced no murder charges would be sought because the autopsy showed no internal/external signs of injury or allergic reaction to Bear Spray.

The others unfortunately committed suicide.

Would Sicknick have died on 1/7 without the Assault on the Capitol? I don't know... it sure didn't help but there won't be charges in connection with his death.

I just pick up the factual stories from WaPo, NYT, WSJ and such sources... I don't know what the others are claiming re: The origin of the Assault, conspiracy, etc...

None of us, far as i know, works at the DOJ and has shed any inside light on it. Joe Bidens been president for 7 months. trmp fucked up a lot of stuff in 4 years. The dust has far from settled in this affair. You have a good night.

You know you're my homie and all, but I'm not sure what you're arguing about here.

The official account is that no cops were murdered, so anyone expecting penalties for individuals that are reflective of such a crime ... is bound to be disappointed. Really doubt DoJ is going to be thinking any differently. The autopsy is *very* likely to be the final word on this subject.

Just saying, brother

Officer Brian Sicknick collapsed in the US Capitol after engaging insurrectionists. He was sprayed with chemical agents among other things, collapsed in the capitol, was transported to the hospital, admitted through the emergency room to the ICU and died.

He came to work on 1/6 and never made it home… would he have died , gee I don’t know, a young, 40 something cop on the bike detail, no prior health issues, never made it home from work.

There was nothing natural about Brian’s death.

"Lonnie Coffman of Alabama: Police found multiple firearms and weapons in Coffman’s possession. Coffman’s truck, which he had parked in the vicinity of the Capitol on the morning of Jan. 6, was packed with weaponry including a handgun, a rifle and a shotgun, each loaded, according to court documents. In addition, the truck held hundreds of rounds of ammunition, several large-capacity ammunition feeding devices, a crossbow with bolts, machetes, camouflage smoke devices, a stun gun and 11 Molotov cocktails."

The USCP and Metropolitan police officers who defended the Capitol, Members of Congress, the American experience in democracy seem to be treated differently than your average local street cop.

This would not be tolerated in any instance other than this. This walking talking piece of shit with a list of priors and martial arts training assaulted cops and is looking at a short trip. Usually, if you assault a cop, you catch a beating, and then, after you heal you spend a while in jail. This guy had 8 charges, pled to two and is facing less than 4 if the judge does not step up.

The police officers who saved democracy on 1/6 are being treated as “ less than” cops. If you did this in Philly, NY, Boston, Chicago, you would be lucky to get away alive. Look at the shit show in Fla where every cop in Miami showed up to take a shot at a guy who hit a cop. Hell is rural America, the sheriff would just shoot you

Try this anyplace else with this guys priors and see what he would get. This is bullshit, I hope the Jusge sees through it and does the right thing.
