Obama, Channeling All of Us, Called Trump a “Racist…Sexist…Fucking Lunatic”
The comments were reportedly made to foundation donors.

If there was one major criticism of Barack Obama during the years between 2016 and 2020, it was that he didn‘t voice the opinions you know he had about his successor at the White House, Donald Trump. While millions of Americans were discussing the 45th president using terms like “malignant tumor,” “burlap sack of excrement,” and “a staph infection on the ass of society,” Obama remained quiet, not even mentioning Trump by name until the end of 2018. The 44th president reflected on his decision not to go after Trump in his memoir, A Promised Land, writing: “I confess that there have been times during the course of writing this book, as I’ve reflected on my presidency and all that’s happened since, when I’ve had to ask myself whether I was too tempered in speaking the truth as I saw it, too cautious in either word or deed, convinced as I was that by appealing to what Lincoln called the better angels of our nature I stood a greater chance of leading us in the direction of the America we’ve been promised.” Thankfully, toward the end of the 2020 election, Obama chose to very much go after Trump, warning in August that the 45th president would “tear our democracy down” given the opportunity. And according to a new book, he had much saltier things to say in private.

The Guardian reports that in Battle for the Soul: Inside the Democrats’ Campaigns to Defeat Donald Trump, Atlantic staff writer Edward-Isaac Dovere reveals that Obama told foundation donors that Trump was

“A madman”;
“A racist, sexist pig”;
A “corrupt motherfucker,” a comment that was prompted by reports Trump was talking to leaders like Vladimir Putin without any aides on the call;
And a “fucking lunatic”

Last year, Business Insider reported the delightful news that both Barack and Michelle Obama were producing a comedy series for Netflix “based on the chaotic transition of power when Donald Trump became president in 2016.” The show, titled The G Word With Adam Conover, is a collaboration between the comedian and the Obamas’ Higher Ground Productions, based on Michael Lewis’s book The Fifth Risk, which was born out of a September 2017 Vanity Fair article. The book covers the historic chaos and mismanagement that occurred in the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, and Energy during the handoff between the administrations. The G Word will reportedly be “part documentary, part comedy sketch,” the latter of which seems like the perfect way to recount the fact that Trump had absolutely no clue what he was doing when he got to Washington (and didn’t learn in the proceeding four years).

I am just saying in my view it doesn’t sound like him, not the view of trump, but the use of the terms like MF

And assuming the direct quote is accurate, I also do not view it negatively

describe trump that’s all

This doesn’t bother me. What bothers me is the wheels of justice seem to be taking too long to go after trump and his thugs, and the the very real danger that states like Georgia, Texas, and Arizona, etc, are making laws to overturn elections

But what people continue to refuse to acknowledge or accept is that in the United States, there are multiple sets of "rules of acceptable behavior and discourse", literally dependent on your race, gender, or religion. And these are enforced by the power structure.

In other words, there is no fucking way that he could fucking call out anyone using "fucking" in any public or even semi-private setting, while he was in office.

When you have 8 years of continual pile-ons magnified by the media, that created outrages over "flag pins", "terrorist fist bumps", "birth certificates", "tan suits", "feet on desk", "Grey Poupon mustard", "going home to Hawai'i but not believing that was his birth home and considering travel there a junket", and "playing golf".

So no, the "angry black man" was not permitted to be an angry black man because that was one of the most potent antecedent stereotypes that the white supremacist power structure instilled in the national culture, dating back to the time of the creation of this nation. It has been so ingrained over the centuries that it even causes abject fear among modern day armed LEO, who will even look at 12 year old black males as "scary" and "life-threatening", worthy of instant death.

I am glad Obama's reality has been "allowed" to come to the fore.
